About 10 months ago, I joined Traineo and had some great success. See the “Past Goals” at the bottom…

After starting a new job, and going through some stressful stuff in my life, I lost steam and stopped going to the gym for about month, minus a little running and the occasional round of push-ups and sit-ups. I planned on getting back on the horse as on July 1st, but didn't get back into the gym until July 17th, but I am moving forward again. This time, I need a new goal, one that isn’t too challenging, but one that will keep me interested.

OK, workout 2 is now complete... Just weights this week/weekend. I'll combine running next week. Man I lost a good amount of strength during my hiatus. But there's no sense in dwelling on negativity.

With the baby due to arrive at any moment, my immediate goal of maintaining 3 - 4 workouts a week from 17 July - 15 Aug maybe a bit of a challenge...

Yeah, I am starting to get my but in gear again. At the very least I am walking 1.8 miles after dinner with Alicia. I am going to start stepping it up, but I only started 10 days ago and I am so deconditioned I have to start slow. My ankle is a little sprained so I am wearing a brace and nursing it a little too. But my diet is back to healthy food and we have cut out the fast food. My goal is to get back to running 3 miles a day. I want to get to 196 lbs by the wedding, I think it is very realistic given the time I have.

OK, so I lied bellow... I did run a couple times, but that's it. I finally hit the gym again this evening. Man I lost a lot of strength in a short time. And I've flabbed up a little bit. Now I don't want to exaggerate, I haven't gained all the fat back, and I'm still stronger than I was a year ago, but I lost a lot of the progress I was making just before I hit this slump. Such is life. Now that I've started, I don't plan on stopping, but I will need to push back my new goals a couple of weeks...

Completed the AF PT test earlier this week with a "good" score... All is well... I have work this weekend. Today, Saturday is mid point on an 11 day work week... Life is grand...

I'll run and hit the gym on Tuesday. And so it begins, again...

PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND NAG ME STARTING ON JULY 1st AND MAKE SURE I GET BACK INTO THE GYM! THANKS!!!

About 9 months ago, I joined Traineo and had some great success. See the “Past Goals” at the bottom…

After starting a new job, and going through some stressful stuff in my life, I lost steam and stopped going to the gym for about month, minus a little running and the occasional round of push-ups and sit-ups. That month will end on July 1st when I get back into the gym and get moving forward again. This time, I need a new goal, one that isn’t too challenging, but one that will keep me interested.

Phase 2.5: Get back into a routine and accomplish 3 - 4 work outs a week in July. (Target date 31 Jul 08)

Phase 2.8: Get back to the level of strength I had at the peak of phase 2 and add leg work outs to the mix, I’ve been neglecting my legs. (Target date 31 Aug 08)

Phase 3.0: Find a more accurate method of measuring BF% and get below 20%. (Target date 1 Nov 08)

Phase 4.0: Transition from chest press machine to free weight bench and max out at something over 250lbs. (Target date 1 Mar 09)

Can these goals be accomplished? Sure, but it wont be easy. Wish me luck and track my progress here… I'll need your motivation and support.

Past Goals (Achievements Failures):
Phase 1: Reduce my weight from 194lbs to 180 lbs or fit into size 34 jeans comfortably, which ever comes first.
(I did it! Phase 1 was accomplished on both ends, weight and jeans size, on Dec 17th, 2008!)

Phase 2: Increase my weight from 183 to 193 lbs (through muscle gain) while maintaining size 34 jeans (or smaller if possible). Reduce BF% down to 17%. My target date was July 4th of 2008.
(I failed to make my goal. I got a lot stronger, gained muscle mass, but had no accurate way of measuring BF% and it hindered my willingness to gain weight.)

OK, with the new job, and million things going on after work, I've not been to the gym in about two weeks or so. But I have started to train for the AF PT test. Running outside for timed 1.5 miles at work 2 -3 times a week. I'll also start to focus on building up the required push ups and sit ups. I test at the end of the month, and after that normal workout activity will resume.

Side bar, running on pavement hurts my legs every time. I pulled something yesterday... I'm doing the 1.5 miles in about 11:40-ish at the moment... I would love to get it down to an even 11:00...

If by bike, you mean motorcycle, I'm totally with you.... actually I'm bouncing between the bike and the sailboat... I'd get more use out of the bike, but the sailboat would be like a floating vacation for me. we'll see! I'll have one of them for next summer :)

Erik is not moving again. He will die in this apartment if I have to make it so. That aside, it wasn't that bad, though they have some really heavy **** and it was all on the third floor when I got there :)
