About 10 months ago, I joined Traineo and had some great success. See the “Past Goals” at the bottom…
After starting a new job, and going through some stressful stuff in my life, I lost steam and stopped going to the gym for about month, minus a little running and the occasional round of push-ups and sit-ups. I planned on getting back on the horse as on July 1st, but didn't get back into the gym until July 17th, but I am moving forward again. This time, I need a new goal, one that isn’t too challenging, but one that will keep me interested.

Phase 2.5: Get back into a routine and accomplish 3 - 4 work outs a week in July. (Maintain from 17 July 08 - 15 Aug 08)
Phase 2.8: Get back to the level of strength I had at the peak of phase 2 and add leg work outs to the mix, I’ve been neglecting my legs. (Target date 15 Sept 08)
Phase 3.0: Find a more accurate method of measuring BF% and get below 20%. (Target date 1 Dec 08)
Phase 4.0: Transition from chest press machine to free weight bench and max out at something over 250lbs. (Target date 1 April 09)
Can these goals be accomplished? Sure, but it wont be easy. Wish me luck and track my progress here… I'll need your motivation and support.
Past Goals (Achievements Failures):
Phase 1: Reduce my weight from 194lbs to 180 lbs or fit into size 34 jeans comfortably, which ever comes first.
(I did it! Phase 1 was accomplished on both ends, weight and jeans size, on Dec 17th, 2008!)
Phase 2: Increase my weight from 183 to 193 lbs (through muscle gain) while maintaining size 34 jeans (or smaller if possible). Reduce BF% down to 17%. My target date was July 4th of 2008.
(I failed to make my goal. I got a lot stronger, gained muscle mass, but had no accurate way of measuring BF% and it hindered my willingness to gain weight.)

With the baby due to arrive at any moment, my immediate goal of maintaining 3 - 4 workouts a week from 17 July - 15 Aug maybe a bit of a challenge...
I'll run and hit the gym on Tuesday. And so it begins, again...

Side bar, running on pavement hurts my legs every time. I pulled something yesterday... I'm doing the 1.5 miles in about 11:40-ish at the moment... I would love to get it down to an even 11:00...
sorry i missed yer birthday/hangout on the patio thing last saturday.
How you doing with your goals? How's yer progress?
I'm definitely interested in doing some roller blading, but prolly have to wait until next pay check to go out and buy some :) Where can we go at first to learn so I don't kill myself?
